DESIGNING
PARENTING PLANS
|
Some of the items on the Checklist that you may need to discuss when making up
your comprehensive co-parenting agreement
This covers visits,
last-minute changes, phone calls, toys and belongings, holidays,
extra-curricular activities, spiritual development, medical and professional
appointments, communication, school, vacations, financial planning,
grandparents and extended family, safety, boundaries and rules in other
household(s), alternative beliefs, significant others and dating, special
needs, dispute resolution, child support with space to add any that are
unique and specific to you.
Visits
- Will the child have one
home or two?
- If there is more than one
child, what are the age-appropriate differences in their needs for
visits and times with both parents?
- Schedule.
- Drop-off/pick-up (drop-off
is preferable with medium to high-conflict parents). When? Who? Where?
- Penalty for late
drop-off/pick-up (should penalize adult, not child).
- Special and changing needs
of child.
